Magnets
One of the many uses of Neodymium metal is for magnets. Neodymium magnets have been named the strongest permanent magnets know to man. Magnets massing to just grams can lift around a thousand times their weight. Neodymium magnets are cheaper than other magnets made of cobalt and nickel, are lighter, and stronger. They can be used for computer hard disks, as well as microphones, professional loudspeakers, and other sound related equipment. While they are very good magnets, neodymium magnets have been known to lose their magnetic properties at high temperatures.
